TOP 10 MOST TATTOOED CITIES IN AMERICA
So who sits at number one? Well it’s not Austin, TX. Although we did manage to come in 6th place over all the cities in the United States. Not bad, unless you’re one of the type of people that are against tattoos. Anyways, so the number one spot was taken by Miami and L.A. with number two. Here’s what the report had to say about Austin (ATX),

No. 6: Austin, Texas Called “accepting” of heavily tattooed individuals, this increasingly hip college town and “Live Music Capital of the World” is visited by young, “artsy” tattooed people from all over, at least once a year, at its South by Southwest (SXSW) festival. Not to mention its Reggae Festival and Film Festival, among others. Most of Austin’s population is also age 25 to 44, prime for tattoo getters, and there are about 7.5 shops per 100,000 people. One chat forum we came across had several individuals say they’d never seen so many tattooed people in one city.

OCHOCINCO FINED $25,000 FOR POSTING TO TWITTER DURING FOOTBALL GAME
Well if the NFL season doesn’t start until Ochocinco gets his first fine, then the season has officially started. The NFL has slapped Ochocinco with a $25,00 fine for possessin’ an electronic device and postin’ messages on Twitter on August 20th, durin’ his teams’ preseason football game against the Philidelphia Eagles.
By NFL rules, players are not allowed to post messages on Social sites 90 minutes before kickoff and can’t continue until all post game media obligations have been met.
Ochocinco addressed the fine on Twitter by sayin’,
“I’ve been fined by the league a substantial amount of money for tweeting, 1st time twitter hasn’t made me money but cost me money,”
And on another Tweet,

“Dear NFL I apologize for tweeting during the game but that was 2 months of my Bugatti payments you just took from me, I won’t do it again,”

I guess we’ll see if he learns his lesson.

OBAMA APROVES $6 MILLION TO RESTORE ISLAMIC SITES AROUND THE WORLD
So Barack Obamma aproved $6 million dollars of tax payers money to restore mosques and Islamic sites all over the world. The Washington Post reports:

The goodwill tour of the Middle East by the Imam behind the proposed mosque near ground zero is just part of the U.S. government’s efforts to reach out to the Muslim world.
This year, the Obama administration will spend nearly $6 million to restore 63 historic and cultural sites, including mosques and minarets, in 55 nations, according to State Department documents.
Under a program established by Congress in 2001, the department will fund at least five projects in as many countries at a cost of more than $271,000.
The contributions include $76,135 for the 16th century Grand Mosque in Tongxin, China, and $67,500 for the 18th century Golden Mosque in Lahore, Pakistan. An additional $62,169 will be spent on restoring a 19th century minaret in Mauritania’s ancient city of Tichitt; $50,437 for the Sundarwala Burj, a 16th century Islamic Monument in New Delhi, and $15,450 to restore the 18th century Gobarau Minaret in Katsina, Nigeria.

Now I voted for Obama, I believed that he would do right by the people of the United States Of America. Somehow, I just don’t see how wastin’ taxpayers money on non-U.S. buildings and Islamic sites, will help better our country or it’s people. I’m thinkin’ that money would’ve been better off going towards cleanin’ up the oil spill off the Gulf Of Mexico. What do you think?

RUSSELL SIMMONS IN SUPPORT OF GROUND ZERO MOSQUE
As reported by AllHipHop.com, Russell Simmons has given his support to the controversial $100 million mosque that is being built near the site where the Twin Towers fell in 2001. The mosque, which was approved by the Manhattan’s Community Board, is being built by the Cordoba Initiative. In support of it, Russell Simmons goes on to say,
“If your blaming Muslims for the attack on 9/11 then you need to change your mind…Did we blame Christians for the first world trade attack? It creates a cycle of negativity.”
I personally don’t see anything wrong with it. It may not be my religion, but last time I checked this was still a free country. I believe you should be able to practice what ever religion you wish. I think those who have a problem with it, have that problem cause they still blame Muslims for 9/11. To those folks I say do your research. That is all.

TRILLIONAIRE - BUN B ft. T-PAIN

Trillionaire is one of my favorites off of Bun B’s Trill OG album. T-Pain and Bun B knocked this one out the park. I know this video has been posted up (on many of video sites) for a lil’ over a day now, but for those of you who still haven’t seen it, here it is. Or for those of you who can’t get enough of the song/video, hit play and turn the volume to the max. Make sure to pick up the album Trill OG in stores now and see why it was named a classic and given 5 Mics (the most you can get) by The Source.

F*CK THESE B*TCHES - CAM’RON

I’ll describe this video in two words, HOT GARBAGE. Maybe not so much the video itself, but the song is definitely trash. The fact that I’m a fan of Cam’Ron’s music, I expected better cause I know what he can deliver. The fact that it’s dedicated to Lil’ Wayne, I expected better since it’s a tribute. The fact that Jim Jones and Waka Flaka were in the video cosignin’, I DEFINITELY expected better. So instead I was definitely disappointed.

What made this song garbage for me? It wasn’t his lyrics that made it trash, and it wasn’t his delivery that made it trash either. His actual rappin’ was pretty solid. What makes this song hard to listen to, is his constant attemp at tryin’ to harmonize/sing HIS version of Lil’ Wayne’s hook. Cam’Ron just sounds horrible, and to make it worse, he harmonizes/sings (if you want to call it that) more on this track than Lil’ Wayne did on the original version. It’s a definate fail for me. The best part of the video is the model with an ass that rivals Buffy The Body. Anyone know who she is?

F*CK YOU FREESTYLE - CEE-LO ft. 50 CENT

Well I NEVER would’ve imagined that these two would’ve ever made a song together. It’s actually a good track, or maybe I’m just partial to any song by Cee-Lo / Goodie Mob / Dungeon Family. What ever the case may be, I’m actually lovin’ this song. It has an old school / good times feelin’ to it, even though the subject is mainly about a gold-diggin’ ex and the man she left him for. If you haven’t heard this song yet, take a listen and tell me what you think OR, you can Like It and/or Tweet it.

THE RAP MAP : HIP HOP HISTORY IN GOOGLE MAPS
There’s a new Google Maps based web-app, The Rap Map, that has placemarks of locations that have been mentioned in Hip Hop songs. The placemarks not only tells you the song it was mentioned in, but the artist who mentioned it, and the 2-line bars that mentioned the location. Since the app is fairly new the majority of the locations are of course in Hip Hop’s Mecca, New York. Of course there are locations listed in L.A., Houston, Chicago and more. What’s good about it is that it allows users to suggest locations, so expect for the map to expand in the near future. So head on over and see if there’s any spots on the map near you, and suggest any new locations you can think of. Head on over to http://map.rapgenius.com/

DMX SPEAKS ON NEW ALBUM, BUT DOES ANYONE CARE?

I remember a time when I used to look forward to the next DMX album. Oh, how long ago that was. When he first entered the game, I used to listen to his albums from beginning to end, especially his first two albums. But then after his third album things started going down hill. It just hasn’t been the same. So hopefully he puts more time and energy into his new tracks. The other thing is that other than The Best Of DMX, which dropped earlier this year, the last time he dropped an album out was in 2006 with Year Of The Dog…Again. So after being gone from the game for 4 years, the question is will anyone care when he drops his albums? And I say albums cause he’s supposed to be droppin’ two albums at the same time. Walk With Me Now and You’ll Fly With Me Later. I suggest he starts hittin’ the mixtape circuit HARD and make sure it’s FIRE. I’m rootin’ for you DMX, I want to hear that shit that had me at the store on release day, droppin’ the lil’ bit of money I should’ve been saving for food, gas, etc. Anyways check out this interview with 101.5 JAMZ, which had me reminiscin’ of the old DMX.
